BLOGEnerity Solutions Achieved a Gold Partnership with Microsoft

At the turn of the year, Enerity Solutions Oy achieved Microsoft’s Gold partnership. This was one of our 2020 goals and a key part of our staff development plan. We have been a silver-level member in the partnership program for years, but we wanted to show our customers, partners, and ourselves that our expertise in Microsoft technologies is top-notch.

What is Microsoft’s Gold partner?

The Microsoft Partner Program is divided into areas of competencies with silver and gold levels. Achieving the different levels require verified evidence of expertise from the company participating in the partner program. Evidence is provided by demanding certification exams taken by the company’s personnel, which require a significant investment in studying, even if one has already worked professionally within the area of the exam.

Enerity Solutions is now Microsoft’s Gold-certified partner in application development and Silver-certified partner in application integration competencies. Our goal is to achieve a Gold partnership also in application integration and other competencies related to our technology, such as data management and cloud services.

Benefits of the Gold partnership

One of our values is to have straightforward competence. Our goal for personnel development is to support and encourage our employees to develop their expertise in energy and IT fields. A good example is that 15 of our 19 employees are certified Power Traders. Although Enerity Solutions has never sold – and never will – any watts of electricity, we want our staff to have deep knowledge of our customers business. The Gold partnership offers the company’s staff the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, and after passing the exam, the certificate is awarded to the employees themselves, not the company. The requirement for the company is that the company employs enough people with the required certificate.

Because our mission is to help energy companies and their stakeholders succeed by digitalizing their processes, in addition to our energy expertise, we also need to be at the forefront of IT. The Gold partnership shows our customers that we have the competence of the technologies we use and are committed to maintaining them in the long run. Thus, our customers can be sure that we know the technologies we use.

Maintaining a Gold partnership

In the Microsoft Partner Program, competencies must be constantly maintained and updated, and completed exams become obsolete as technology advances. Our customers can continue to be confident that we will update the skills of our staff as Microsoft’s technology evolves. We encourage our employees to renew their expiring certificates and to acquire new ones.
